Catherine Koo

Catherine Koo is a student at the University of Maryland with a strong interest in the intersection of business and science. She will graduate this May with a B.S. in Biology, along with double minors in Business, and STEP (Science, Technology, Ethics, and Policy).

Catherine previously worked as a Stream Biological Monitoring Intern with the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, where she gained hands-on experience collecting and analyzing ecological data. She currently works as a Marketing Intern with Maryland Athletics, building skills in game presentation, event management, and communication. Bridging her experience in both research and marketing, Catherine is passionate about translating complex scientific concepts into stories that resonate with diverse audiences. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cities, baking, and crocheting.
