
Carla Schlemminger
About
Carla Schlemminger brings 20+ years of experience in strategic corporate marketing and branding across startups, emerging companies, and public enterprises in tech, financial services, and purpose-driven organizations. As part of the management team at Niehaus Ryan Wong, a leading high-tech PR and branding agency during the dotcom era, she launched companies and products from the ground up. She later led global PR at MSCI Barra (now MSCI Inc.) and managed marketing communications at iRise, building one of the company’s early content networks as social media transformed corporate storytelling.
In recent years, Carla has focused on corporate sustainability and climate innovation, inspired by nationally acclaimed family winery J. Lohr and its commitment to sustainable growing and responsible business. In 2024, she completed the Climatebase Fellowship and contributed to market development at Investature, a fintech climate startup focused on sustainable investing.
She is a member of the Private Directors Association and holds a corporate governance certificate from Harvard & The Decision Institute. Most recently, she completed executive studies at Stanford in Digital Transformation and AI. Carla also lends her expertise to nonprofits, including the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Red Cross.
