Mission and Vision

Where Research Becomes Story — and Story Becomes Impact

Creative Climate Lab is a global collaborative program that addresses the critical climate change issue by bridging science and art. We communicate data, research, and solutions through artistic works by pairing researchers with renowned artists. CCL will raise funds for desperately-needed scientific research in the polar regions and our oceans. We then translate that data into engaging and moving narratives.

Mission

We transform scientific research into powerful artistic narratives that amplify awareness & drive real action.

Vision

Our plans to execute our mission

We bridge the gap between science and art to raise awareness and drive action for the planet.

  • Fundraising

We raise funds to enable scientists and researchers to conduct much needed field work to collect data on the effects of climate change in the Arctic, Antarctica, Tropics and in our oceans.
  • MVP Teams

We pair researchers with writers and artists to bring the science to life, transforming the way climate change data is told. This includes photographers, cinematographers, painters, etc. to engage a wide, diverse audience.
  • Field Research & Expeditions

We partner with renowned institutions and organizations such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Science Foundation, International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators, and PADI to conduct field projects.
  • Storytelling

Writers and artists translate the data from expeditions to craft compelling narratives in the form of feature stories, in-depth podcast interviews with climate changemakers, cinematic films, and visual books.
